Abstract

Indonesia has a diverse range of ethnic groups and cultures originating from 34 provinces. The characteristics of each province are reflected in language, house shapes, traditions and customs, dance arts or musical instruments, tools (weapons) for self-defense, and cuisine. The influence of several countries that entered the Aceh region has created a culture, customs, and traditions that are still inherited from the era of the Sultan Iskandar Muda's kingdom to the present day. In the field of religion, the teachings of Islam have a significant impact on various aspects of life. However, customs cannot be neglected either. Religion and customs are like two sides of the same coin. The people of Gampong Ladong have a habit of working together and helping each other during major holidays in their area to lighten the implementation of Islamic holidays that are celebrated every year. This community service can be useful and beneficial for other regions, especially urban areas where the level of solidarity has no longer manifested and is no longer visible among the community due to their busy individual activities. The results of this activity will be useful now, in the future, and for as long as possible.
